Olivia Rodrigo Used Five Products Under $20 to Achieve Her Glossy Waves at the Grammy Awards

Olivia Rodrigo is no stranger to using affordable products to achieve her classic glam looks. Last week, beauty journalist Kristina Rodulfo confirmed that the “Driver’s License” singer wears a $15 lip gloss that you can snatch up at Sephora. Now, hairstylist to the stars, Clayton Hawkins, is spilling the tea on how he achieved Olivia’s glossy loose waves at the 64th annual Grammy Awards with the help of five products that are all under $20.
“We decided on shiny, cascading waves to complement the angles of her edgy dress and bold cat eye makeup,” says hairstylist Clayton Hawkins who is an ambassador for both Dove and Tangle Teezer. He prepped Olivia’s hair with Dove Hair Therapy 7-in-1 Miracle Mist and used Tangle Teezer’s The Ultimate Detangler brush to detangle while reducing breakage.
After blow-drying and setting Olivia’s hair with five velcro rollers, he used a 1.25-inch curling iron to create cascading curls. Clayton then sprayed a generous amount of Dove Extra Hold Hairspray to lock in the voluminous curl shape. As Olivia prepared to head out the door for the red carpet, he used the Tangle Teezer The Ultimate Styler, to brush out her shiny waves. Clayton added a generous amount of Dove Hair Therapy Brilliant Gloss & Repair Serum from Olivia’s mid-shaft to ends to deliver a gorgeous, glossy sheen as the finishing touch.
